While on a showing tour in Boulder, CO, I visited with Stan and he showed me how he went about constructing his highly colored hand-painted 16mm films. We see him explaining his materials, the difficulties, the percentages of useable footage and the final optical printing of same. I filmed all this on video-8, which was recently transferred to DVD by Patricia Kavanaugh at UCLA.
The film of course is in color, and is not in distribution in any other form except this special limited edition for sale.
